BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS

I only give one star because that is as low as I can go. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. After three years we are heartbroken with the experience we had with this company. After being overcharged twice once on loading and once on unloading half of our items were never delivered and the half that was delivered was broken and almost unusable. We were forced to sign a paper without being given a chance to inspect what was being delivered. Our couch smelled like body odor and they even took furniture off the truck that wasn't ours. The boxes were retaped and the plastic tubs were cracked. When we filed a claim we were only offered $50 dollars for our lost and damaged items even though we had pictures of the damaged items as they came off the truck. We had to throw many things away. They rent Ryder trucks for delivery thus using our money to rent the truck to deliver our broken items. Save yourself a lot of pain and anguish as these people lie. Use PODS or UHAUL PODS and moving helpers so you can watch them load and unload while assessing their skill level and honesty.

Scam.

This will be a long post but I urge anyone who wants to use this company please read this before deciding to use this company. I was moving from Erie, PA to Tampa, Fl and after getting quotes from many moving companies I decided to choose them due to having good reviews. I spoke with Howard Zimmerman and gave him a list of all my furniture and after that determined I would only need 500 cubic feet of truck space, which I told him made me very skeptical because when I had moved 8 month prior I rented my own truck and used 800 cubic feet but I did get rid of some items. The quote was for 2200$. He assured me that the reason it was smaller is they are professionals and they know how to pack everything in.

So the day comes and its time to move the movers get there and as they walked into my house they automatically say I am way over the quote and it will need to be revised. I stated I had gone over everything with the moving company and he just kept saying well they don't know what there talking about. He told me my new quote would be for 1100 cubit feet and the price would now be 4500$. I told him I would not pay that and called the company and of course I had to do that 10 different times because nobody would speak to me. After over an hour of back and forth we got it down to 3500$ which is totally ridiculous but I had no choice my lease was up that weekend and I had to be out. We signed the revised contract which has two different drop off locations my house and the storage unit. Which I told them upfront I needed done and they assured me it would be no problem. I get a call two days later from the driver stating he had no idea that there were two locations and kept insisting I had not payed for that. I told him to please call the company and they will tell you its in my contract. They end up three waying me on the phone and I tell them again that yes I have two locations. So the next day (today) they arrive with the stuff at the storage unit I tell them what needs to go there and what I am taking to the house. I can't see any of the furniture because its all in moving blankets. Granted this whole time he is still telling me I have not payed for two locations. He ended not brining my bed and box spring to the house. Brought a tv stand instead of my dresser and unloaded somebody's else's couch into my house and I had to tell him it was the wrong one. This company I would not recommend to my worst enemy. They SCAM people and try to get as much money as possible out of you.

Official company response

Ms. Gaudineer sorry to hear you were not satisfied with the move. Please keep in mind we provided you with an over the phone estimate based on the inventory items that you provided us. The original estimate was signed on 04/17/2019 for a pickup window of 4/26/19-4/27/19. The space that was reserved was 522cf with an item list of 39. Upon the arrival of the foreman it was quickly realized you had a few more items then were listed on your inventory you had 62 items and they estimated it to take up 1100cf as well as some items needed to be packed which you were charged $200.00 for that. Our system calculates the average space that each item would utilize in the truck. As I'm sure you can understand sometimes a customer has an item or two that our bigger than average size. With the combination of having more items then listed on the estimate and some of your items being a little larger than average. Your move took up an additional cubic foot in the truck. The carrier simply just charged you for the extra space you occupied in the truck at the same rate per cubic foot you were already locked in at. If you have any additional questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to our customer service department as we strive to handle all clients concerns in a timely manner.

Moving from Utah to Virginia in May.

They picked up my household goods on May 25, 2019 and promised me they would be delivered by Jun 23, 2019. They have not shipped my household goods. I was told they would pick the goods up and ship to Virginia, but instead they arrived with a Penseke truck and took they my goods to storage in Victorville, CA. That was the first lie. It is now July 10th and I have not received my goods or know when they will arrive. I have called made numerous calls (at least 6 or 7), Each time they give me an excuse like it will be loaded tomorrow and shipped they next day or will call when it is on the truck. I heard that one three times. Once they said the problem was the truck was delayed in Texas?! Today, they said they would let me know this Friday when they would load the truck. By the way, I am in Virginia waiting. This is an unethical company. Call me if you do not believe me. 435 452-1716 I recorded every phone call with them. They should be put out of business. I have no axe to grind, just expect honest and professional treatment. Contact the BBB for references.

Long-distance move from Grand Rapids, MI to Biloxi, MS

Scammed my elderly mother.

I see the responses to this is the company is blaming the company out of Florida. BUT WHOEVER MOVED MY MOTHER from Michigan to Mississippi has scammed her from changing the price when it was time to pack her things up she paid for her one bedroom apartment to be moved once they got there they said they couldn’t take everything they only took the big items. Remind u my mom is 62 years old and she took a flight to Mississippi to relocate. So she had to pay for a storage because they couldn’t get all the items they approved over the phone. She paid extra for them to take her microwave along with her things. They picked her stuff up end of September she didn’t get her items delivered until November 4thshe bought a air mattress when she got her apartment (extra money) they finally delivered her stuff after they gave her so many people number to call to check to see when they can bring it. She plug in her flat screen tv it was cracked no picture at all but I big grey screen we have pictures she sent to the “owner” Paul 917-530-0353 said he will replace her 50 in tv and the microwave they left or gave to somebody else. I feel these companies get over on elderly people and I’m here to see when was her items being replaced it’s Jan. 4th owner said she will be reimbursed for the holidays smh the holidays has came and went!! Paula, Tina , Paul, Juan 1-855-253-0330.
The people who moved the items were in Biloxi, MS
1-877-250-2818. NOBODY IS RETURNING HER CALLS LEFT VOICEMAILS! WARMING HER FOOD UP IN THE OVEN YOU DONT REALIZE HOW FRUSTRATING IT IS TO NOT HAVE A MICROWAVE UNTIL YOU DONT HAVE ONE!

Rudest Salesman.

This company contact me by email and then text to get a quote. The person was extremely rude and told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. I kindly told them I had found another company and they said “Ok good luck call me when they don't show and changes the price on pick up.” Not professional at all. The conversation went on and even after I told them their response was rude and not how you gain someone’s business, they continued to reply in the same manner and never apologized.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Carlsbad, CA

I’ve I could give zero starts I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

My partner and I moved from NYC to CA on July 27, 2020. We were told our items would be driven and stored in CA immediately by 2 separate people on the company, so we flew out to look for a place and let the company know we were ready for deliver. They then told us our items were being stored in New Jersey and that it would take another week to two weeks, so we had to cough up more money to stay in a hotel. Aside from lying to us to get our business, we got conflicting info from several people on when our items would be delivered. When we were told they would arrive Saturday August 22, we went to our new apartment and waited. No movers, no call. When we called Customer Service to tell them we were lied to about our items being stored in our new location, the manager put words in my mouth, yelled at me, and abruptly put me on hold in the middle of me speaking. Finally, when our items arrived today (4 days past Saturday) our boxes that were packaged well were torn apart, half of our furniture is damaged, and I would rather chew rocks than have to try to deal with customer service again to file a claim. I wish I could show pictures of how torn apart our boxes are and how damaged the furniture is. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I would have rather paid more to work with FlatRate movers and not have these problems. Do yourself a favor and do not work with them. I would have rather left all my stuff in NYC and bought new items than have to work with this company again. Rude, unprofessional, amateurs. I will he reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.

Do not use these Thieves

This outfit is a joke. This is a clown operation and a con job. I would call them "CARNIES" but that would give carnies a bad name. Children would do a better job. We started with a quote of 2100.00 and ended up paying 4000.00. We were told while the truck was being loaded that the cubic foot estimate was low and we would need to pay additional money immediately then we were told that it is customary to pay the movers a 10% tip in cash. We were then charged for storage because we changed our destination and the movers didn't have a route close to our new destination in the time frame even though our new destination was much closer to the warehouse. The movers are very unprofessional as they load and unload wearing flip flops. We only received half of our belongings and now the company wants us to accept $50 as a good faith payment whatever that means. Many items we lost were irreplaceable. The furniture that did make it had many legs and wheels that were broken or missing. There was additional damage to dressers and an entertainment center. The tubs were broken. The boxes were clearly repackaged as items were in pieces in different boxes and the boxes were retaped with different color tape.

We lost dress clothes and shoes, a brand new toaster oven still in the original box, a ninja professional blender, 2 cured cast iron skillet, my dead father's American flag, collectible mixing bowls among too many other items to mention.

Long-distance move from New York, NY to Miami, FL

Scammers. Do yourself a favor and don't hire them. 0 stars.

If you value your things, please do yourself a favor and hire another company. Here below I explain facts and details of the situation surrounding my case:

1. On July 12 I paid the first part of the move ($609) with my visa credit card. Th total confirmed amount was $1591.10. It is worth mentioning that I previously gave my Amex details to the agent but received a call later by the agent explaining that I could not pay with an Amex. Later that month I received a few Amazon charges. The charges were not mine. I am pretty sure the agent took my Amex details and used it to pay at his Amazon account. It was the only person who had my credit card details.

2. While explaining the size of my move, I clearly explained to the agent that I was using 50% of my 8”x10”x10” storage unit, which should equate to 400 cf. However, the company decided to decrease that estimated volume to 286 cf. Quite a contradiction since at the very bottom of my quotation form in the Article List section it is clearly written 8 X 10 50%.

3. On August 9 my things were picked up from the storage unit. I was told that I had to may an additional $350 because I was using 350 cf. I called customer service and explained that 50% of my 8”x10”x10” storage unit equated to 400 cf and given than 350 cf was less than 400 cf I would not have to pay. I wasn’t given any option so I ended up accepting the additional $350 out of frustration.I had to leave that very same night to Miami where I was relocating.

I paid the second installment of the move ($666). I was told that only cash was accepted for this second payment.

4. On August 20 the driver arrived with my things to my new apartment in Miami. He tried to scam me by saying that I had to pay at least an additional $700 if I wanted him to bring my things to my apartment. He claimed that my apartment was very far from the elevator, which is definitely not true. I have heard of these scams happening before to people coming from NY so I refused to give him more money. However, he threatened not to give me my things back if I did not give him the remaining balance ($666.10). Feeling completely hopeless and frustrated I had no other option but give me the money in cash (he would not take any other type of payment for this last payment) if I wanted to see my things again.

5. He left everything at the entrance of my building and refused to take my things to my apartment, which is what I had hired. But not only that, he also refused to place my things on the trolleys that I borrowed from my building lobby and told me that I would have to lift everything up by myself. I had no other option that get someone to help me move my things to my apartment, which took a few hours of labor.

6. In addition to all of that, my boxes were completely destroyed. I took pictures of them for the record.

Long-distance move from Chandler, AZ to Clearwater, FL

Liars - Worst moving company

I used this company for my relocation from Arizona to Florida. They hired another company even worse than them. A crystal table console was broken when they were packing, I paid $75 for packing supplies that was not refunded. The move left my house in AZ on 10/28/21 and was only delivered to Florida on 12/16/21. Some items were not delivered and even though I had an email from them saying that I had insurance up to 10,000 they are not taking responsibility and the company hired by them Honeybee Logistic does not respond to my complaint.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
